 In March of this year I was in urgent need of help and support with regard to CQC compliance.  The CQC issued my surgery with a ‘Notice of Proposal’ to terminate my registration.

 

Several  colleagues  referred  Mr  Vinny  Patel  to  me  and  they  assured  me  he  would  be  the  best  person to help me respond to the CQC to avoid cancellation of my registration.

 

He  immediately  prepared  an  action  plan,  which  we  submitted  to  the  CQC  in  April  2017  and  then he continued to deliver with evidence on every action outlined in the plan.

 

He  transformed  my  surgery;  he  created  risk  logs,  updated  and  personalised  our  policies,  created  practice  and  complaints  leaflets,  produced  laminated  colour  flyers,  produced  many  other documents related to the practice, did staff meeting with my staff and personally trained  them on many aspects of general practice which CQC expects them to know.

 

He  prepared  the  appeal  documents  answering  to  every  action  with  evidence  to  the  CQC  report. We submitted our appeal documents to the CQC in June. The CQC did an unannounced  inspection  in  July  and  few  days  later  I  was  informed  that  my  notice  of  proposal  for  the  cancellation  of  my  registration  had  been  withdrawn  because  the  surgery  committed  to  significant improvements and I could continue to practice treating my patients.

  This was excellent news with great relief and 10 days later I received a CQC report with details  of  improvements  made  by  the  practice  and  recommendations  for  further  improvements.  To  help me achieve this I am very grateful to Vinny.

 

I  will  recommend  Vinny  Patel  to  every  GP  who  is  looking  for  guidance  and  support  with  CQC  compliance. His knowledge and experience is far beyond anyone’s knowledge and experience I  know. I am impressed with his positive attitude and commitment to his work.

  I want to thank him for his unreserved support during my difficult period when he stayed with  me and others turned away.
