Our practice was put under “Special Measures” following an inspection by the CQC in March 2017.

I came to know Vinny Patel via an email, and when I had a meeting with him, I was very impressed with his positive encouragement to face CQC Inspection.

 

Vinny Patel has been a tremendous help in guiding our practice to meet the CQC’s compliance requirements.

By providing the relevant documents, Vinny has guided the Practice in such a way, so that our Surgery is fully prepared for the next CQC inspection in six months’ time. He has transformed and upgraded our surgery with the effective creation of risk log registers, practice policies, Patient Group Directions, Staff training policies with a Staff induction folder and a locum induction folder. To improve public awareness, he has organised and created ‘Practice’, ‘Safeguarding’ and ‘Suggestion’ leaflets for the waiting area. Furthermore, he produced mandatory laminated flyers and posters, which also consists of our Surgery’s Business Continuity Plan and Statement of Purpose. Vinny designed our practice letter head in professional layout and a logo.

 

Further refinements include a detailed folder for complaints, along with an annual review, which is of paramount importance to the conduct of our Surgery. PowerPoint presentations for staff meetings have proven to be a success, improving their attention; our practice team highly commend this initiative.

Vinny also produced the Practice Mission Statement and Practice Charter, including the Action Plan for the GP Patient National Survey, which addressed all the necessary actions.

 

Having been inspected by the CQC on 9th November 2017, the feedback summary suggested positive remarks.

Personally, I would like to thank Vinny for being such a supportive individual, motivating me to be positive in all that I do as a Practice Manager; I am extremely grateful. Hence, I would strongly recommend any Practice to approach Vinny, as a professional external consultant, in order to help them meet their respective CQC requirements.

His in depth experience and knowledge about CQC’s compliance sector is outstanding and as a Practice, we are incredibly impressed with his unwavering integrity and commitment to the work that he has done for our Surgery.
